This is a double sided issue. Over 4 years ago I was in some credit card debt... I decided to go to a Credit Counseling agency who offered me debt consolidation. I set up a plan with The Consumer Law Center; and paid them IN FULL. What THEY had said my credit card companies had agreed to accept. About 2 months later I started to receive calls from various creditors stating I was going to be sued. After a few months the calls stopped as there was a lawsuit against Hess Kennedy (Consumer Law center) Now... 4 years later I am being sued by Pressler and Pressler and New Century Financial (they are partners from what I read) for money that was already paid! I understand that the original creditors never got their money... And Im sorry... But that isnt my fault. I TRIED to do the right thing! And Now they are RELENTLESS!!! I have read alot of numerous complaints against them! (P & P) I would STRONGLY URGE everyone that has any type of debt to investigate NOW! This way you will be prepared if this happens to you!
