Actual price per gallon not as posted in big letters

The sign said in large letters that the price was 3.399 per gallon. When I started pumping gas the pump read 3.449 per gallon. I went in to complain. The manage on duty pointed out to me that there was a small sign attached to the large roadside sign which displayed the price which said that that price applied if one has an Exxon card, or some other card. I didn't have either, so I continued pumping.
I didn't like that the person I talked to smiled and seemed very happy with situation. I assure you that this whole process is not good for business at that station.
