Miscellaneous

Show Pony purchased from Kristy Willwerth of Picturesque Farm in Warrenton, VA. I specifically asked her if the pony had good feet and legs and questioned the type of shoes he was wearing. She stated those shoes were used because of the stone dust he was worked in. 1 week after bringing pony home the pony was very lame. Monthly board was paid on this pony. Farrier came out and switched shoes several times and questioned the type of shoe pony came with. Vet was called out and did lameness tests, blocks, xrays and ultrasound. Xrays showed significant navicular. Kristy Willwerth was informed and veterinarian reports were sent to her. She asked for the pony back. I returned the pony to her in Warrenton VA from Kingsville, MD. Kristy Willwerth refused to refund my purchase price of $2,350.00 for the pony.

Kristy Willwerth was informed prior to the sale I was looking for a pony for a little girl for the start of the show season. The Virginia auctioneer also informed me they had problems with this person in the past with unsound horses sold at sale and they will no longer allow her to sell through them.
