Mr Griifis was a supposed Breeder of Alaskan Malumutes I found him on the Alaskan Malamute website for AKC Breeders. He & I went back & forth by e-mail on his pups he had. He sent me pictures of his pups, my Husband & I chose the last Male which he said he mistakenly sent over as a female. On Thursday Oct. 11th he through e-mail told me he was taking the pup to the airport to his shipper PREMIER SHIPPERS out of Coral Gabes Fl phone #239-471-4381. I received an email from him on Friday morning the 12th of Oct. That he dropped my pup off at shipper. Awhile later I received an email from PREMIER SHIPPING telling me that I would have to send them $650.00 by MONEYGRAM to that same phone # for payment of the dog & shipping expense. After I sent the moneygram for the$650.00 dollars I was sent a confirmation that the pup was on the plane headed to JFK this was app. 12:30pm. I then received a phone call as well as an email stating I needed to insure the pup as per NY state law or else the pup wouldn't be released. The insurance contract that came to me was for an additional $850.00 which would be refunable on the delievery of the pup by their driver. I agreeded which was so against what my gut was telling me!!! I sent the Moneygrama @ 1pm. I called them again to give them the reference #. I got another call around 3pm saying that the moneygram was on hold I if I couldn't get it released the pup would not be released to me as well he would be held in quartine for a period of time!!! I know I was stupid I should have refused and said so be it but my heart took over so I asked moneygram to relase the funds with my approval! Both money grams (first for $650.00 #89490660 & the second for $850.00 # 47577953 were sent to Christian Donald NE 204th st Miami Fl 33179 Phone# 239 471-4381. The shipper called me back & told me they had received the funds and the pup will be arriving @ JFK by 5:30 pm. I ask how long it would take for the pup to arrive at my house I was told about an hr. Needless to say I hadn't received the pup I was informed by phone as well as Email that the trucker was invovle in a fatal accident one was killed and the other sent to the hospital. When I asked about the dog they said they didn't know anything as of yet. Well I live inthe area so I called the precients in the area and they had no report of a fatal accident I called the Port Authority as well as Highway #2 and guess what no accident reported. I tried to call the phone # of the "Shipper" went to voice mail tried to E-mail Mr. Griffis no answer the phone # I have for him 239-349-4983 & his address which is 382NE 141st Miami Fl 33179, his website address is robertgriffis331@yahoo.com. I don't know how you can help me but if this man did this to me believe me their r others out there! I will be calling Miami DADE POLICE tomorrow as instructed by them to make a formal report. I hope to hear from you one way or another on this matter. Thank You
