I meet this person that goes by the name of John Woods, on the online dating webpage of BLACKPLANET, stated he is a mechanical engineer working with Sheppard Construction which is located in the UK. Had recently moved to NY from Seattle WA to get away from his ex-wife which he had divorce over 5yrs ago. Had to fly to the UK to meet with his firm regarding a job contract that he had been awarded, would be working on the Third Mainland Bridge which was in need of repair. Long story short was to be with me by his birthday Sept 2 but prior to that had run out of money, his firm was to send me the checks via UPS, wanted me to hold them for him until his return, also wanted me to open a bank acct for this, well as I received the check, he would tell me where to send him money via WU, which I did, he was either with no food, feeling sick, someone in his crew was injured and they needed money etc. So I would be sending money, well cashed funds, sent via WU his so called driver's name. Weeks late checks I had cashed were returned by my bank as all were fraud cks.
John assured me he would take care of all that once he got back to the states, well, he never returned and have not heard from his since. Ladies please beware, he would send me poems that he had written, well i went to google and saw all the poems that he had sent me, he just copied and pasted poem and put our names. Also sent gifts prior to all this.
had lesson to learn, i never thought i would fall for a scam like this. I have seen that he is also on many other dating website but states he is from TX.
