El Gordo Loteria Primitiva
AKA Alliance Security Company Foreign Lottery Scam

I recieved a letter on 10/8/04 claiming that my name was attached to ticket number 025-11-464-992-750 and that I had been one of 17 lottery winners of a $13,871, 320 lottery. My lump sum payment would be $815,960.00.

The letter was printed on what looks like official stationary. They gave what looks like an official Reference number EG/2551256003/01 as well as a batch number 00750013. But the whole letter just looked suspicious to me, almost like it was printed out on someone's home laser printer. What was the dead give-away was the second page where they wanted me to provide them with my bank, my account number as well as a routing number. Then they also want the name of my next of kin - why? So they can mail them this same scam I bet.

I plan on also reporting this scam to my local post office as it is a form of mail fraud.
