Eceived an email this A.M. From a seemingly legitimate business concern in detroit, mi. - to my business acct. Looking to source aprx. $10,000.00 worth of hp product. Very suspicious, of course. I mean, who sends out this type of request blindly to people they've never done business w / before?!?!?! Big red flag! I played along & replied to the email w / an attached quote. Sure enough, w/in 15 mins., i received a positive reply w / a note that they will call me w / c/c info (most likely a series of cards - all stolen or pilfered) to process the transaction. Well lo & behold, i receive a call from a gentleman from this # trying to place the order. I, of course, began to question him hard as to why they would conduct buisness in this manner & why he was calling from nyc when all previous correspondence was to a co.in detroit. Needless to say, nothing was ever transacted.
