Exhale Boston Gift certificate

Granted I didn't try to use my gift certificate to Exhale Boston until 1 1/2 years after expiration date 6/30/10. I was for a manicure/pedicure with parafin. Exhale Spa-Boston (Back Bay) said I was entitled to nothing on the gift certificate because it was purchased thru RueLaLa.com and because it was 1 1/2 years old. I was out of luck. Massachusetts has a State Law that says gift certificates have a 7 year period even after expiration date.
