TruckChamp poor quality cracked step pad - Truck side step bar / nerf ba

Pruchased a top line Stainless steel Step-bar/nerf bar - but it developed a crack on the step pad, and Truck Champ requires $30 for the replacement part. I feel that the step pad has inferior material, and should not crack like that!!!
