In September I responded to a web ad stating that in order to help advertise their company they were offering a cologne for the price of shipping and processing, a total of $7.95. The funds were withdrawn from my checking account. On 10/12 $95 was withdrawn from my checking account for the cologne. I called the company and was told by checking a box I had agreed to pay $95 for the cologne if I didn't reply that I was not happy with it within 14 days. The customer service agent was extremely nasty, stating the assumption is that anyone who has checked the box on their disclaimer certainly was able to read and understand it.

My complaint is this: This company did not clearly state I would be charged $95 for the cologne, rather they buried that information within an "agreed upon" disclaimer. When the complaint came into their customer service center the representative clearly stated there was nothing I could do because I agreed to pay for the cologne.
