So I am pregnant and was quite desperate for a loan. I applied for a loan through a site called centerlending.com. I received an email stating that one of their lenders would be contacting me re the loan I requested. 2 days later I get a call from Eric Lenburg with Cisco Capital Group advising I had been approved for the loan I wanted. He said he would e-mail me the info and that I needed to fax over a copy of ID, SSI number and proof of income (pay stub) to their fax number 1855-274-6895. I did as requested and was advised that I would need to send a payment of $826 dollars to secure the loan and not officially make loan payments until 6 months from now, but I would indeed receive my loan within 4-6 hours. I went to Western Union as I was told and sent a payment of the $826 with a service charge of $76 to an Anthony Saunders in Ontario Canada. Even at this point I am feeling unsure because Eric’s faxed documents are addressed from New Jersey not Canada, But still feeling desperation and having a baby on the way I went ahead. Payment sent, Eric then calls me and advises that I need to send over $1400 to insure the loan incase anything happens to me. He said I could send half of the total, so $700 and I would get the loan in my account. I told him I could not send them any more money and that I had the form that says the insurance on the loan is OPTIONAL! But he stated I must pay the insurance otherwise I could not receive my loan. So Eric tells me that he will go ahead and send out my refund of $826 plus my service charge of $76 totaling $902 in the mail and I should receive it in 15 to 30 days. I have never received a dime. I have called Eric at his direct number 1877-898-9426 ext 104 multiple times, But have not spoke to him since 8/17. I have contacted their customer service which is the same number but ext 100 instead and spoke with a guy named josh who told me refund was coming. I called customer service again and spoke with another guy and he told me the same thing. I still have not received any refund at all. I feel like an idiot and I felt uneasy when I began this whole process, but in desperate need because of the arrival of my new baby. There is an alert for this company on BBB.org as well. I plan to file a complaint on their website also.
