The RIAA wanted the spotlight when they went after home users. Now what?

The RIAA freaked out when home users started downloading music, resorting to scare tactics to intimidate them into stopping - shooting themselves in the foot (Have you noticed album sales declining?!)

They were so obsessed with making money, overcome with greed, that they lost sight of what is required to make and maintain a profit. It's as if they forgot their principles overnight. It's mind boggling. They hurt themselves more than anyone.

Now, you are watching Youtube intimidate amateur singers and band members into not performing cover songs. If you attempt to upload a cover song to Youtube, you are met with a warning message. Their creepy automatic software (remember, Google - the very definition of creepy, owns Youtube) figures out that the song is a cover of another song, and sends you a warning.

Countless artists have gotten started by performing covers.By suppressing that creative freedom to perform your rendition of a song, you are hurting the entire music industry. Would be artists get frustrated and may never pursue their dreams if they are met with ridiculous obstacles like this.

Large corporations like Youtube - with this new bizarre form of censorship - are contributing to the failure of this nation. And I can tell you this with absolute certainty: if the music industry fails, we're done. We might as well just all start speaking Chinese, Russian or whatever they speak in Iran because one of those countries is going to own us if our music industry falls apart.
