I was quite taken back back by unwillingness to consider my request for charity write off as was provided by Legacy Health which granted me 80% reduction in my bills as per their standards set by federal guidelines for companys accepting medicare payments. I sent a copy of the award letter from Legacy Health (Portland, Oregon) they would not accept any of my explanations and sent the bill to a collection agency. I feel this is an abuse of billing practices. Their billing #001791168-0000 trip#441-04172829-00. American Medical Response is hudge national company that accepts medicare and medicaid payments, i feel they treated me unfairly becuse of my nonability to not provide insurance as i was a self pay account.
