Miscellaneous

A $129 invoice for "registering your computer" showed up in my 86-year old mother's email inbox. We called her bank and found that the initial charge was refused earlier in the month, then went through on 9/22. And found that my mother had written down the name of the company, so she did in fact give them her credit card info.

That makes a fraud claim difficult, but scam it is! Hopefully the bank will intervene.

Just adding our story to the mix!
