I would like to know if this is a scam

My hunsband recevied a letter/wcheck to be a
mystery consumer shopper. So we did what the
guy on the phone sayed for us to do and we did it. We deposited the check in his account it clearded and he then he told us to go and look aroud the store and see where everything was and spend $84.00 on anything we wanted then we where to get a green dot money pak card and load 995.00 on the card the total was $995.64 and mail it back and keep $206.36 for my time and i would make that every time i did a mystery shopper trip.
