Poor service, poor customer service

Paid eighty dollars for a year subscription to view aviation jobs on avjobs.com. Service took several days to give me access, and then wouldn't allow me to actually see the jobs or employers without paying more. I sent several emails, with no response. Finally called, and was told I had the wrong service: I had a "resume" service. To actually see jobs or submit a resume would be two hundred eighty dollars a year, billed at seventy dollars quarterly. I was told they'd do me a big favor by billing annually and only charging one hundred eighty dollars.

I pointed out that I don't need a resume service. I paid eighty dollars to view the jobs. I was told I'm not allowed, but that they'd refund me thirty dollars, keep fifty, and give me a month of service allowing me to see jobs, before billing me monthly at twenty five a month.

I pointed out that the fifty dollars for the month equates to six hundred a year... A ridiculous thing to look at advertised jobs. At the monthly rate it's still a total of three hundred for the year... How is this an improvement? It went from eighty a month to one eighty, or two eighty, and three hundred, touching six hundred at one point just to view the jobs.

In the end they agreed to keep thirty dollars for a month of "service" that I never received, and refund fifty bucks. Fraudulent, it's "bait and switch, " charging one sum, then charging more to get what they advertised as providing in the first place. I received nothing, and got the privilege of paying them in the process.

Avjobs.com is a consumer rip-off. I don't recommend their service to anyone.
