Received the same form letter as others in this mailing. It is obviously a scam and/or hoax, but I fail to see where the company is gaining any advantage or money here. Do they really believe that someone is going to pay their 'tax agent' before their check has cleared a deposit. Must be some naive people out there if they do. The big tip off to me was the CostCo envelope while others report a different corporate logo. I will be taking the check to Wells Fargo Bank, which is listed on check for further investigation.
