Beware of the Trane! - Trane XL14i Air Conditione

I bought a Trane A/C (XL14i) in 2007 to replace an older unit. I went with Trane because of all the hype, thinking I was going to get a good quality, reliable system. Not so.
This system has failed every summer since the install. Fortunately I bought an extended warranty, which expired this summer. I asked Trane if I could PURCHASE another year or two warranty... I asked for nothing free, was willing to pay. They said no. Not just no but H... No. I gathered from this that Trane doesn't even have enough faith in their systems to sell me additional warranty.
Oh, and during the warranty Trane was quick to send me their little postcards telling me how much my warranty work cost them. As if this was my fault.
So I wrote Trane a shame letter and have yet to get any reply.
To those of you who are as apprehensive about the future of their systems as I am... Your state's Lemon Law might just be able to help. Look up the rights you have as a consumer, it might save you a bunch of heartaches and grief.
