Back in May I got a call on my answering machine "This message is for Tanya Wagner and it is very important that you call us back." My younger son got home from school and called me and gave me the number because he thought his older brother was in trouble. I'll admit I thought so too, the person that left the message sounded urgent. Well I called from my cell phone and this woman takes my call and says I am calling from NCO and I said what is that... She perceeds to tell me that I have an outstanding loan with Washington Mutal and I said you are mistaken. Then she asked me to tell her the last 4 digits of my social security number and I said no with all of the identity theft going around. Then she said them and I said yes but you have the wrong person. Then she said well did you ever have a car loan and I said yes&13 years ago I filed bankruptcy and it was discharged. I also informed her that the loan was not with Washington Mutal and then she said that Washinton Mutal merged with Dimes Saving and another bank and again I said no to all three banks. Then I asked her to provide me with details about the car, after all she is calling me and she wanted me to fax her certain documents. I do not know this lady and refused. I recently ran my credit report and noticed that NCO requested a copy of my credit report&that is all so far. Every week I get calls at home and my cell phone number. I just changed my cell phone number because I am at work and do not wish to be disturbed by them. My cell phone is for my family only. When these people call they are rudge, one lady said she is getting a lawyer after me and I told her to do what she must. Another lady I told her that I just came out of the hospital and had a stroke&she could have cared less. I have tried to explaint that they are mistaken because I filed bankruptcy 13 years and was discharged and the bank that financed my loan was not the banks the are calling for.
