Since Feb being a Hope Customer, regarly taking Lantus insulin for diabetes. Since they said the manuf changed criteria for being accepted for low cost medicine. I am LOW income and do not have enuff money to pay for these meds. I get no welfare, i have income from a disabled husband who has end stage dementia and lives in a nursing home. I have not worked in over 30 yrs. So i have no self income. I have chronic kidney disease stage 4, diabetes, hypertension, edema, chf, asthma. So my meds add up to way over half my income. Feb with a change in criteria of the company they represent. I had to go to Levemir insulin, i had an alelrgic reaction. One of the inert ingredients is a main ingredient in another med i cannot take, specifically Benadryl. That causes anaphylaxis. So its now sept. And ive been trying to get Lantus since feb. My blood sugars are high, bp in nephrologists office was 204/100 pulse 122, its TOO HIGH, i am killing my kidneys without being abl to take insulin and bp meds. Since i cannot afford them. I do not want to die. I have a young son at home, and i think my life is worth savign. I've had a surgery wich caused me to die on operating table 2 mins and with that, the medical problems came in a wave. They say i can get the meds at thier fee of 18.00 a month per prescription, yet ive had to incur up to $30.00 a month or more, in just faxes and docs from the bank, wich charges me $ to get copies. I do this several times a month the same documents over and over. And submit by fax to HOPE prescription. The manufactures causing this? They say they help ppl on low income. I can prove i do not work, have no self income, get a very small amt, my husband's social worker statement, everything, but every week they want the same proof over and over, i think either HOPE or the manuf they represent are liars. They do NOT help ppl who are low income. I will no longer tell ppl how great thier co is, i will no longer tell others abt using thier service. Perhaps someday i will sell a book to a publishing firm, as i've been working on writing most of my life.in that book, it might detail the FARCE of companies like this!
