Back in the summer of 2004 we regrettably redeemed a coupon from Georgian Manor (RHG) in Collingwood, Ontario. We were offered 2 nights accommodation for a nominal fee provided that we sit through a presentation. They were selling a time share for their property.included in the purchase of the time share was a certificate for a 7 day cruise for two from I.C. E Gallery. The certificate weighed heavily in our decision to become members of RHG. Unfortunately, we were unable to redeem the certificate through no fault of our own. Apparently I.C.E. Gallery underwent a management change and was not honoring the certificate. We raised this issue with RHG (the company with which we signed the contract) who did nothing about it. The certificate has since expired but when I complained to RHG (before the expiry date), they promised me they would look into it as long as I kept paying my bi-annual fees. This was two years ago. I recently spoke with someone from member services at RHG and was told there was nothing they could do since the “offer” was from I.C.E. Gallery. (I entered into no agreement with ICE!). I am fed up with making payments on my membership fees especially when RHG fails to deliver on the promises they made during their presentation. (I could go on about the empty promises and what a SCAM RHG is, but I’ll save it for another day). Hoping you can help!
