Got up yesterday 25/8 morning and looked at my bank app and was astonished to find that iwas 43 over my limit. Closer inspection showed the reason $79merchant voucher to AKM UK Essentials. Taken from my account 24/8/201/. Having never agreed or dealt with this company I went to my bank and contacted the fraud dept the money was returned to my account and an investigation will be launched in the coming weeks.
Normally I would not have noticed this BUT for Barclays new app.
My insurance and mobile dd would probably have defaulted.
