MWI*ESSENTIALS PLUS tried to rip me off by charging my DISCOVER card $179.95. I haven't used this card in quite some time (probably haven't used it in at least 2 years!) because I've just been concentrating on getting it paid off. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that large amount of money charged to my account just 2 weeks ago.

I dont know who MWI*ESSENTIALS PLUS is. I dont know what MWI*ESSENTIALS PLUS is "selling." I tried to call their number, but it wasn't helpful at all.

I wound up calling DISCOVER to find out what this charge was. They told me that MWI*ESSENTIALS PLUS is a direct marketing company. DISCOVER also told me that they would take the charge off my account, send MWI*ESSENTIALS PLUS a letter telling them not to bill my account, and also said that MWI*ESSENTIALS PLUS is required to respond to that letter within 30 days. DISCOVER said that they would mail me a copy of that response letter when they get it.

I'm very glad that DISCOVER was so helpful with this matter, but now im nervous about whether or not MWI*ESSENTIALS PLUS may have charged any of my other accounts without me ever noticing it since I have no idea how they got my DISCOVER account number.

BE WISE PEOPLE... ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT ACTIVITY! You never know who may be trying to pull a scam on you!
