Miscellaneous

My computer would not work, it was blocked and a message You Have 471 Errors came on with a tiny lady with headphones that is still on my computer and a Blue icon that sort of looks like a megaphone appeared in an ad on my screen that I could not remove. They said to call 1877 895 8803 to repair. I called that number and was told that they would unblock my computer for 380.00 paid immediately by giving them my ATM card number this minute or they would indefinitely block my computer and make it crash and destroy it. I told them that I had to speak to my son, telling them erroneously that he had a degree from Harvard in Business before I paid anything. Unfortunately, I gave them my
atm card number before I realized it was Ransom Virus fraud. The individual at the above phone number stated, "You have to give me the money now, if you speak to your son first I will destroy your computer and not do business with you." I hung up and immediately called my bank, put a stop on the account and subsequently had a new card with new number created. My son, a few days later, put in 'Trend Micro', and it seemed to get rid of them, but when I tried to use the computer a few days later the ad with the blue megaphone and the tiny lady with the headphones was back.
