Miscellaneous

I ordered the Nuwave Precision Induction Cooktop (PIC) that I had seen on a TV infomercial. The product was offered as a bogo. One would cost 99.99 plus S&P. The second you need pay only S&P.

1. I was not told the total of the bill before it was sent out. I was charged $235.70 for the S&P for the 2 PIC units. It was not BOGO I paid enough for 3 units. Even if I wanted to return this product it would cost me a lot of money to ship it back.

2. I did not recieve the entire order, missing where two carring cases. I tried to call the phone number on the packing slip twice and was routed to an answering machine and told by recording my call would be returned as soon as possible. I have been waiting two weeks. I attempted after the second call to email the company at one of the addresses provided at their web site. The email was returned as a failure to deliver and the system would try again (legal@hearthware.com). I opened up a dispute claim with my credit card company.

3. They fail to tell people on the infomercial or when you are ordering that the cooktop will only work with their cookware which forces one to buy their green cookware.
