Miscellaneous

A "friend" came to me and asked if I could help him out. His I.D. Had recently expired and he had a check in the amount of $1306.29, and asked if I could cash it. I told him that I didn't have the money in my account but my father did and we or I asked my father if that was possible. He said to deposit the check and wait for 5 days for the check to clear and then let him have the money. I did as requested and on the 5th day asked the bank if it had cleared. They said yes it had. So I gave the "friend" his money. The next day we recieved a call from the bank that the check had been mis-endorsed and that the funds were to be taken from my fathers account to cover the banks payout. I have tried repeatedly to have this rectified to no avail. I contacted the "friend" and I got one story after another and finally typed the name of the remitter in to the computer and ended up here. The authorized signature is Tom Joyner and the remitter is Esther M.J. Marrero, Check #280937
