After listing a garage sale on craigslist (which I listed the total value of the items $5500 as the price), I was contacted by leodoughlas@gmail.com. His first question was odd; is the item still up for sale? We had several items, so this raised a flag for us. After responding with items available and their prices, he responded stating that he was interested in the three highest priced items, also a red flag. I responded, after googling his email address, finding this site and assuming that it was fraud; "sure, what are the next steps?" A few minutes later, he responded with this email:

Thanks for your response, your asking price is quite reasonable and affordable considering others i've seen lately, i'll take it like you stated on the ad, also will like to know if you have PayPal account where i can send the fund to, because am not local right now and i need this urgently, am still in service currently in Shahbaz air force base, i would have love to come my self at least to see what am buying and to test drive, but i don't have the time. But i think i can trust you on this, i will start making an arrangement concerning the pickup at your place once i hear back from you so you have nothing to worry about am going to handle shipping my self. Kindly get back to me with your PayPal e-mail address (PayPal ID) but if you don't have a PayPal account is what you can set up, all you need do is to log on to www.PAYPAL.com is very easy and secured get an account attach it with your credit card or your bank account and let me know once you are done... If you have troubles with the account don't hesitate to email me back with any questions. Looking forward to read from you. Let me know the condition of this item. To be sure that I don't waste my time with endless discussions. This way, I shall be assured of the serious intentions.
