Call 8/6, from woman named Scarlet, giving phony number 1-513-784-5166, saying she was offering gas rebate checks. Identified herself as employee of Duke Energy and Future Now wanting our account

Received call from a woman named Scarlet 8/6, saying she was with Duke Energy Future Now processing Rebate checks for us for gas usage. Gave phony number of 1-513-784-5166, saying she had my name Sharon Wilson, but needed to update records of account number and address. Unfortunately, provided this information.

Called Duke Energy telling them of the fraudulent activity, who said once you give out your number to them, they could transfer you over even without your permission unknown to you. They will flag account, but said to file a complaint with PUCO in Columbus, Ohio or with Ohio Attorney General in Columbus, Ohio.

Duke Energy gave me a phone number of 1-866-363-6427, with a 187 West Olentancy St, Unit C, Powell, Ohio 43065. Called number man answered saying wrong number for Future Now.
