Money Taken After Reconnection Then Phone Turned Off Again

My son's phone service was interrupted on July 30, and I paid his phone bill on July 31, which the phone service was reconnected just to have them take money out of my acct. And then turn his phone off 2 days later and now I've been told they can't find an acct to this number & that their's a high security on the acct which we did not place on the acct so now I'm out of 50.00
