Security deposit - F#%$%^NG CON EDISON

So i get hit with a $125 security deposit fee because I had 4 mths late with my bill mind u by monthly bill is no more than $80. I don't even pay for gas. I paid always the minimum. Con ed never informed me of this only a late payment fee. I have never heard of such thing!!! Why are they ripping people off? Didn't they get a raise??? Why are they scamming??? They are worse than the other IDT scammers. Is it because my bill is no higher than $80?? Can someone help and explain this to me? They should at least advertise it so people can be aware of this!!! Im very upset. Unfortunately this is the only electric company that we have to deal with.
