Magic Jack plus = worse product/worse customer support ever! - magic jack phone service

A month ago I ordered Magic Jack plus from their website. As I wanted to keep my old phone number I had to pay $ 19.99 to port it. I also prepaid $ 20.00 for international calls. The stress started when I connected the MJ to the router. As long as I had that device it never let any calls come in. I was able to make outgoing calls, but everyone who called my numer just got a recording. Due to that I checked on customer support - but all they have is online-help, no technicians on the phone. I was 8 hours (!) online with 7 different people. No one had the solution for that problem. I had the impression that their staff is not too skilled, to say the least. After that experience I decided to go back to my former provider. You won't believe it - Magic Jack plus is charging me another $ 30.00 for out-porting my number! I think this's outragious. That's the biggest ripp-off I have ever experienced. I wonder, if a fee for out-porting is allowed by law as the Magic Jack didn't work in the first place? The only positive thing is I got it on a 30 day trial and at least I didn't have to pay for the Magic Jack plus itself (I sent it back).
My advise to anybody who reads this and wonders if he/she should buy MJ: DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CR..!!! Save yourself all that stress!
