Miscellaneous

Bought a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan that I was told had been gone through completely and was in excellent condition. They even had a sticker on the windshield saying it was a certified vehicle and qualified for an extended warranty. They also included paper work stating the van had gone through a complete inspection and any defects had been repaired. On the way home from the car lot I tried to use the cruise control and it would not work for more than a couple of minutes. A few days latter the van stalled on me at a light. Two days after that the van stated to run rough when I took off from a light and did not run good till I shut it off and restarted it. At that time I noticed the check engine light did not come on and called the car lot to let them know but they were on vacation. I also took notice the next time that the check engine light would not come on when I first turned the ignition on. For the next couple of day there van would stall out every so often. On Wednesday the 25th I drove down to the lot because they had not returned my calls or email. Their mechanic was there and I told him the trouble I was having. He checked the fuses and He put his analyzer on the vans computer and read the codes. There were about 12 and one said something about the #8 injector not working. This is a 6 cylinder van. He tried to erase the codes but could not and said he could not do any thing else with out the car lots OK. He told me they would be back on Friday. I waited till Saturday at 4 O'Clock and when I did not have a call back I called them. I spoke to Lori and explained that the check engine light appeared to be disconnected and felt they should have noticed that and that the cruise did not work also. She said she had no problems with the van when they would take it on trips and denied knowing about any problems. She said I would have to pay for the repairs and when I confronted her on the issue with the check engine light she became belligerent and hung up the phone on me.
