I had a car (ford fiesta) insurance policy for a year with them that ran out in june. I called them and told i did not want them to automatically renew a policy. I stopped my direct debit for the upcoming new requested payment. I reciecved a cancellation bill demand from them dated 27 July for £46.19 (8.19 premium and £38 cancel fee), and a threat of baliffs and an additional £20 fee if bill not paid in 10 days. I dont think they should have the right to demand you to keep insuring with or risk additional payments. Theyve had a year of faultless payments from me and are mercenary at squeezin more cash. They are peterborough based and their mnumber is08433777000. I called them this morning and got no joy as they say "it is hidden in the contract of insurance. For the misunderstanding, I am willing to pay them the £8.19 premium as a sign of good will. Could you intervene please?
