I have been communicating with Evelyn Perez no disrespect Intended I'm not sure of her last name. I'v communicating with Evelyn since the latter part of July. I am an 1199 member, however I am trying to change my place of employment and stay with 1199. I have attempted to make appointments to be interviewed for other opportunities that are more conducive to my life and family issues.

I am sure that my present employer is aware of the fact that I'm trying to leave Rikers Island. Riker Island is a very dangerous environment. I believe my supervisor has a relationship with 1199 local union in reference to recruiting nurses for Rikers Island. Every time I made an appointment I had to change the date because my supervisor changes my day off.

I requested to come in for an interview while I was on vacation, however Evelyn continues to give me appointments in the week. She related she never knows when she will be able to set up appointments because she does not get the calender until the end of the month.

Every appointment Iv' tried to set up with her she claimed she did not have an opening. I tried the 1 of August my supervisor changed my day off. I tried for the 6th of August my day was changed again. I requested coming in when I go on vacation. Evelyn said she could only change my appointment twice after that I could not have an appointment.

Please help me to understand why I am not able to get an appointment to interview. What is Human resources for don't they interview on a daily or weekly basis.

I spoke to Marisol in human resources and she gave me an appointment for the 20th of August. This date was fine because My supervisor has already approve my vacation time so it can't be changed.

When I arrive home I was left a message that I could not come in on the 20th because Evelyn told the young lady to inform me I could not have the appointment

I really need to interview for another job, if at all possible can I please keep the appointment for 8-20-12 I may be wrong about what I feel is going on, but I don't believe its by chance that my supervisor keeps changing my day off when I have an appointment with 1199

I would like to have an interview and explore other opportunities for employment. Besides Rikers Island being a very dangerous environment I can't keep my head above water due to the gas and tolls.

Please allow me to interview for another 1199 position. I originally contacted the Manhattan office, but I live in the Bronx which would be the easier access venue.
