Confirmation Email for 160 Pound Payment Called Fraudulent

A certain Sofia Singuj claimed she deposited the payment of £160 for the item she bought from me through PayPal. I received an email from paypal.co.uk (a legitimate email from them or fraud???) confirming the deposit payment from the buyer last 26/07.

When I checked my PayPal account, the money requested from the buyer for the payment of the item is still marked pending on my account. I called paypal.com to ask them about it, and the customer service representative I talked to said there was no money deposited due to me from the buyer.

Why, then, was that confirmation email from paypal.co.uk received, and why do they claim it did not come from them and that the email is fraudulent???
