My husband worked from 6/24 through 7/5. He was paid on the 9th of July. He deposited the check on the10th. The check bounced. We do not have a valid address or phone number to reach the payor. The company does not seem to exist in Texas or Oregon. My husband painted trim on a commercial building for two weeks and paid his assistant but received no money himself because the check was drawn on an empty bank account. My husband found out when he was "paid" that he was a subcontractor and not an employe.
