I am a Verteran, 100 percent disabled, Servie Connected.in the past 6 weeks my 3 different encounter as well as others that are disabled were horrifying.in 100 degee plus weather I was told by security to have a seat at a certain table or wait outside until the last person in line at that time had passed through the door. I aked about how long it would be and security said about 1 hour. As I sat down at the table others that were disabled were there. I inquired to some of them asking about how long they had been sitting there, with varrying answers from 30 min to 2 hours. As I watched other disabled people coming through the door (3) I listened and watched to what security was telling them, because a few, became irrate as to what they were being told. As well they should have been. They were also told when the last person in line at that time of there arrival had passed through they would be notified and then proceed to take care of whatever business they had. Now you have 5 different people waiting for a certain indivual, everyone being different, to pass through the door. At no time did security check to see who was the last person in line for us disabled people. Even if they had, hows security suppose to remember the looks of 5 different people, when this is happening all day long. Security never bothered to look and see who was the last person in line for the disabled people I saw the dealing with. They took no notes to that effect either. Security was giving disabled people an approx. Time and when they felt it was about that time they would notify the next disabled person awaiting there turn. I was told about an hour but since I questioned the way of there procedure I had to wait 2 hours. If a person stands up for any lenth of time in the DMV security tells them to have a seat so dont dare to try and walk around to stretch out, even though your disability has to do with sitting for any lenght of time. If you do walk around you are asked to leave. Now you can"t even exit the double main doors you enter through. You are told to exit out the back and to the side of the building, not even close to where the parking lot is. Makes it difficult for wheel chair bound people, and others with canes etc. I am not asking for special treatment but they could at least be fair about the way they do things at a state operated facility.in fact thays what I was told by security "What makes you think you should get special treatment"?
