Miscellaneous

Two weeks prior to this complaint, the 27 year-old rooftop A/C was not working in apartment 1. Michael (of All Pro) went to the unit and surmised that "300% filter & condenser coil was very plugged" so he "did advanced service and pro-clean on system." In one phone conversation, he posited that he took the entire unit apart for a cleaning, which included pulling the blower motor & wheel. He replaced air filters. For this, my bill came to $850.00. A second All Proc A/C man (Robert) went to the unit on 07/20, but the unit ran for less than one day. Finally on Monday I requested another invoice, which was sent via email.

However, when I did not receive a detailed invoice after repeated requests and after 2 additional break-downs, I asked 2 other companies to check it out. First, they found that the unit top had never been taken off. Secondly, I still have not received a break-down of what was done, what the cost was, and how much labor was charged.

The unit was repaired by one of the two other companies for $850 total, which included two motors and the labor.

Beware of All Pro.
