Received a very suspicious mail. They indicated that I had won $56,000 and were enclosing a check for $3750 as partial payment and to offset $2570 in "application and insurance fees".

However, before I could claim the price, I had to call a number in Toronto to claim the prize. I suspect that they wanted to get my bank account information so they could pull the funds.

The letter includes a very poor quality fake reproduction of the "value star" seal.

Please do not fall for this scam.

PS - the prize was not not even written to the correct name of anyone in the household!
