Another fake sweepstakes from Canada. A letter was sent to me stating I'd won a sweepstakes and all i have to do to claim my prize is to deposit a large check into my bank account and call to claim my large cash prize ($68K to be exact). I knew it had to be a rip off because (a) i had not entered any sweepstakes and (b) if i had, why wouldnt they just send me the whole lump sum? Why couldnt I just cash this check that I received and NOT have to deposit it & wait the 24-48 hours for them to clean out the bank account I'd deposited this check into?
