I recieved a quote on line to move my furniture from Sacramento, Ca. To Omaha, Ne.
The quote was for $2,558 for 4000 lbs of furniture. That price included $500 for packing.
When the driver showed up he gave me new paperwork to sign. He said the packing would cost $1000 and that he thought the weight would be 4800. Then they added $125 and $75 for mis things. He had me sign many pieces of papers. 1 with a qoute of $2,558 another for $3,667 and another for $4,167.By the way the ONLY items that they had to pack was my dishes. I paid them 70% of the $2,558 up front $1,790.60. Then 2 days later I called dispatch to get the final amount. Ben told me $1,342 and I asked why so much. He said because they wrapped all of my furniture. So already they were charging me $574.60 more then the qoute. Then the driver call me and said they would deliver my goods tomorrow and that he needed a check for $1,967.00. I about lost it. I have been baited and switched and have no control since they have my furniture. $1,200.20 MORE then the qouted me.
