Prorating a membership?

Bally's charged my checking account on May 29 for membership fees. I called Bally's explaining I did not have a membership with them. I used their facility for about 6 months, and I told them at the time I would be moving to an area that they could not service me. I filled out a dispute with my bank.in which they told me to contact Bally's when I did they said that Bally's sold to Blast and could not credit me the funds. Bally's gave me the information for Blast, I called and they told me they didn't see me in their system. I thought this matter had been taken care of. I figured that the charge would just drop off because I didn't have a membership and they didn't recognize me as well. On June 10, my bank sent me a letter stating that the matter was still open and they were putting the charge back into my account. I needed to go back to Bally's. After several phone calls... They said they would refund me everything except 2 months... For May and June. I believe I should be receiving a full refund. I have lived out of the area for over 6 months. If I was told I needed to do this in May, I would have. Prorating me for 2 months of their fitness centers membership is wrong... As I stated I don't live in the area and therfore didn't use the facility. If given the right information I would not be in this situation. I could have provided them with a bank statement showing the3 dispute... As well as 6 months worth of bills that I do not live in the area.
