I was approached by Capiltal Lending Advisors (Mathew Shepard) stating Capital Lending Advisors (CLA) approved us for refinancing our mortgage at 2.99 percent lowing our payments to $468 a month (PITI). We sent in the $1500 CLA requested for the refinancing expense. CLA told us to stop making our pay, netsmsincemtheymweremgoing to refinance our note. Stupidly, we adhered.

We timely completed and submitted all paper work requested and even called our mortgage company to get the payoff on our loan because Mathew stated that was all that was keeping them from taking over our note. We faxed I the payoff amount to CLA with a me asking them to call us. They never called. Ni emailed them and my husband and I left numerous call back messages to no avail. When we tried to contact them again on a Friday afternoon, their number had been disconnected.

Now, we are 3 months behind on our mortgage and late charges have accrued. We had to go to our mortgage company with our hat in our hands and literally beg them to help us so we do not lose our home. We are having to jump through various hoops and still are not sure if Midland Mortgage will help us.

My husband has turned in CLA to our state Atorney General and filed a complaint with the FBI. If you have been scammed, please follow suit and file a complaint with the FBI so CLA can be stopped. Let's keep this from happening to other trusting individuals. Evil flourishes when good people fail to do anything.
