This amount was charged to my credit card after my daughter placed 2 collect phone calls to me that lasted less than 5 minutes. I was led to believe that the call charges would be $5.00 a piece which is still extremely high but was informed by the company this morning that the $5.00 charges were just a hold placed on the card that the $35.93 was the actual amount the calls amounted to and that they have no control over how much the calls cost from individual pay phones. How can this be considered legal?
