I have honestly won the $1,000. The $1,000 is not competitive. The trip is on the other hand. For every 20,000 points we earn we do get $1,000 cash, but the first kid out of hundreds state wide gets the trip for two weeks out of the country. The NCA is not with any school, BBC program, or neighbor. The national cash awards promotes this contest for kids 18 to 24 to travel 13 states in 13 weeks not just to sell magazines, but to take them out for their comfort zones and work on communications. I'm from Louisiana, I am in the NCA contest as we speak. I'm am telling you this information because I hate hearing that homeowners have been scamed. So if they are saying a neighbor canvess, BBC canvess, or they are doing it for college, don't do it. And also if they are saying the true NCA canvess like I explained before and you want to see them win... Pay with a check, it's more of a scam when you pay cash and they throw the reciept away and put your cash in their pockets. Fyi!
