Miscellaneous

We received a fax at work stating it is from HR DEPT. And it is regarding employee travel program. Our company would usually get us discounts so i never thought it would be a scam. So when i got home from night shift, I gave the number a call and i spoke with Jean SIns he said that his employee # is 17609 and his direct extension is #308. He sounds convincing and so i gave my credit card for $175/person and $100 booking fee for my husband and myself total of $450. For 6 days and 5 nights. I told him i want to travel 7/17 and he said no worries he would upgrade me to oceanfront for free. He will get a hold of me as soon as an agent is assigned to me. He said that the payment is needed as part of the promo. When i asked him i need the name of the hotel where we can stay he said that the agent will call me as soon as possible but he needs to have me talk to a recorded conversation to authorize my purchase and i have to sign the document and as soon as they receive it the booking process with the agent assigned will take place. I received the email and signed it and i received a receipt. It says call customer service at 1877-764-9967 or via email at info@helpdesk1.info to begin reservation process so i called them again. I spoke to Josh, Jasmin and end up with Jean Sins again and he told me i have to wait until 72 hours to have an agent assigned to me. I asked the name of their company and jasmin said it is vacation booking. So i started doubting the process. As soon as i get to work i asked my co worker and they said it is a scam, i called CHASE on 7/18 and have my credit card changed. As soon as our Human resource opened i asked them about the faxed document and they said it is not from them. I rushed home, i called chase and reported dispute. I called Jean Sins again and told him i have a feeling it is a scam, and i asked the name of their company again and so he said it is corporate travel and their website is corporatetravelnet.com so i went to check their website and there is no business address or whatsoever. Thank God my bank chase have good customer service wherein they assisted me to dispute. On 6/18 i received a voicemail and she said i need to call 1877 764 9967 regarding my reservation and so i called that number and it sounded like someone is answering and but voices are breaking up so i called from diff phone and it sounded the same. The following day, i received another voicemail and she said " im returning your call and you have to call me back" are you kidding me? How did she know i tried calling her i didnt even left a message. And of course i sent them a message on the email address and i never get a response. NOW I am hoping that my bank can really help me on this and this complaint will be heard so these people can get liable of what they do. Frustrating!
