Miscellaneous

Received unsolicited call from 1-156-454-6412 from a person calling themselves "Penny" in regard to providing a grant of $10,000.00 to a college student who has limited financial means to go to college. Penny was a female voice with an Asian accent, probably 20 - 30 in age; and sounded like she was in a boiler-room operation. Penny claimed that she was representing the Federal Grant Department in Washington, DC; and requested I provide her personal financial information: bank account or a credit card, so she could furnish the $10,000 grant for college. When I refused, and attempted to obtain more information from Penny as to what this was all about, she hung up. Call back to 156-454-6412 determined this telephone number to not be in service. This appears to be a definite scam to obtain personal financial information from persons who may be desperate for college funds - BEWARE!!!
