I was browsing the internet and I chanced upon this website under singaporenewsweekly.com/finance and it was an article by Li Tan and she was sharing how she made 7000 a month working from home under homeincomepackage.com. So out of curiosity, I sign up because I thought why not risk it since it's only USD 24.97, if it didn't work out it wouldn't hurt right? Though I have my doubts, I still go ahead and sign up. After paying, I did receive a confirmation of payment from them. So does that make them legit? Will they use my credit card number to do god-knows-what?

I began to panic when I heard and read while trolling the internet that they were indeed a scam. I called my bank up, but they couldn't do anything about it. They couldn't cancel the payment made. They advised me to contact the merchant directly, which in this case is Home Income Package. I am not so concern about not getting USD 24.97 back but I am more concern about them misusing my credit card.

I emailed them too to inform them that I would like to cancel the transaction with them. I didn't expect them to be replying me immediately too.

Now what should I do?

Can I sue?

How can I ensure that they won't be misusing my credit card or worse steal money from it?
