Miscellaneous

I was having problems with my computer being slow, locking up & various other things. I tried the pc clean program which, surprise, surprise, showed 1818 issues. So I bought the pc clean software which entailed a call to their service center. I was then told by one of their reps pc clean would not fix my problem, which was allegedly a couple of viruses that had infected not only my computer, but everything ever hooked up to it & that what I needed was technical service which he then ran through a list of three such & the one he recommended was (of course) a service provided by a division of their's for a mere $407.00. Supposedly 0 guaranteed for 3 years. They played around with my computer on 4 occasions, the first 2 of which left me way worse off than when I started this misbegotten misadventure. When on the 3d time they couldn't fix a couple of problems the "tech" promised to research the issue & he would call back in 2 days. He did not. After their last couple of attempts failed to resolve my problems, I called & demanded a full refund as per their promised "0 guarantee". I got a massive runaround by some so-called "supervisor" who finally said that he would pass it on to their resolution dept. After 5 days I finally got a call from one Mittin Somi, who informed me that there is, in fact, no guarantee whatsoever & if I wanted a refund of my $407.00 then I was going to be charged $80.00 for each session. After a great deal of arguing with said individual I finally got them to refund all but $130.00, for which I was supposed to be greatful. "It is only fair", he claimed. Mr. Somi couldn't seem to understand that my having to call them 4 times in about 1 weeks time indicated a problem with their "service". He even accused me of having gone in to my computer and setting it to have problems so I could get my money back.
I have since attempted unsucsessfully to remove their garbage. I suppose now I will have to find a competent tech to try & take care of it. Either that or buy a new computer. Also, I tried running speedypc pro to see if it would do any good. It didn't.in fact, like all these people's products, use of them has only made things worse.
Since I charged this on my AMEX I'm going to try getting them after these low lifes. Maybe that will get me the rest of my money back. AMEX is pretty good about stuff like this. Too bad they don't also fix computers. Mine needed it before & really needs it now.
Conclusion. After qresolve's ministrations not only is my computer no better off than it was, in some ways it is worse. Plus now my printer, which worked fine pre-qresolve now only prints the black portion of a document or does a full print only if set to B&W. This is a scam, pure & simple. I guess, in retrospect, I should have seen it coming. Avoid these scumbags like the plague they are.
