Miscellaneous

I met "Alan Smith" on OKCupid a dating website. He said he was an Orthopedic Surgeon for the United Nations, originally from "Kent" in the "UK", but relocated from England to San Diego, Ca. He was in New York but was then sent to the Philipines on a Humanitarian Mission by the UN. For 6 weeks he sent me poems and love letters, told me he loved me and asked me to marry him. He then said he hated it there and wanted to come home and marry me. He asked me to email the UNHumanRelations@mail.com requesting his leave. That is when I knew it was a scam, googled it and found other complaints. I didn't say anything but sent the email and received a firm to fill out in a reply email from "Freeman Burgh". I sent A copy of the expected reply I would receive from this bogus "Freeman Burgh"."Alan Smith" laughed it off. I never received a reply to the form I returned to "Freeman Burgh". But "Alan Smith" kept asking me for money ranging from $200 to $2,000 to be sent via MoneyGram or Western Union. He said he was starving, had no money, had left his check book in his hotel in New York and that his BofA charge card wouldn't work in the Philipines. First BofA would fix it in a week, then that it would never be fixed, then he was in trouble and couldn't tell me until he got home... Etc etc. He even accidentally dialed my phone and I overheard a conversation in his voice both in English and a middle eastern language. Whenever I would question him, he would get angry and insulted.
